Girls Night Out

A couple of weeks ago, I went out with a girlfriend for dinner and drinks. It’s rare for me to go out without Rob, but Emma and I decided that this was the year we were going to make a concerted effort to see each other (as we hadn’t seen each other in nearly a year) as opposed to the constant stream of texts about The Bachelor and Married at First Sight that usually fly between our phones. We had the BEST time and, despite the crappy iPhone images, I knew I wanted to share our night – and my outfit with you!

Jacket: H&M (sold out, similar here)

Camisole: H&M

Jeans: Forever New

Heels: Nine West

Earrings: BaubleBar

Clutch: Rubi

We started with champagne at Customs House overlooking the river, where they do the best Bellinis I’ve had since leaving the UK after which we strolled down Queen St to Jamie’s. We both had their Tagliatelli Bolognese and a glass of Bolgarello Rosso – both of which were amazing. It’s the second time I’ve been to Jamie’s and I would highly recommend. The staff are wonderful and the food is fantastic every time! To finish off our evening, we headed to the rooftop pool bar at Next. I’m usually loathe to tell people about this place because it’s one of my favourite hidden spots in the inner city but I decided it was about time I share it with you! But if you go without inviting me, I’m not sure we can be friends anymore, okay?

I was home by midnight – just in case I actually am Cinderella – but before I went out, I lined up all my products on the bathroom counter and it worked a dream! I always remember to take my contacts out but I’m terrible at remembering to take off my make-up properly. Problem solved!

So that was my night! It was so good and reminded me I really should make the effort to go out alone or with friends more often. I always have such fun when I do it.

When was the last time you had a girls night out?
